In this workshop you will learn several versions (“variations”) of this beautiful 16th century melody “Greensleeves”, also known as the beloved Christmas carol “What Child is This”. We’ll begin with a very simple version of the tune, then will progress to increasingly complex versions. Our exploration of the advanced variations will give your ideas for how to enhance a tune for performance or simply for making a tune your own. A recording will be available for all students who pay for the class, even if they cannot attend the live class.
