We will learn three captivating songs/ballads from the remote fishing ports of the Canadian Atlantic coast. These old songs – of love, loss and magic – are part of a living folk tradition stretching back to their English and Irish forebears. We will use several tunings and styles to get the most from these songs, so be prepared for some (straightforward) re-tuning. You will also need a capo.
