Peach Jam October 2 - 4, 2009
Peach Jam will be at F. D. Roosevelt State Park, located near Pine Mountain, Georgia (see www.gastateparks.org). The Dulcimer Troupers of LaGrange, Georgia will sponsor this year's event.
F. D. Roosevelt State Park has camping, 22 cottages, and motels are within a mile of the campground. Reservations for campsites and cabins can be made by calling 1-800-864-7275. October is a busy time at FDR.; so if you plan to camp or stay in a cabin, make your reservations early. Although an area cannot be blocked, we will plan to be in Area 1. Follow the directional signs when you enter the park.
We will congregate at the covered picnic shelter around sundown on Friday and again at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning jamming until the park closes at 10:00 p.m. Organized activities will end Saturday evening. Jam leaders for regular jamming and for slow jamming should make the experience enjoyable for everyone.
On Saturday night there will be a covered dish supper. The Troupers will furnish the main dish; so please bring a side dish or dessert. Other meals are on your own.
